[V5] Wild Roses | Meet The Coterie

art by GMVirtuoso

Three art students walk into a bar... and they're all Toreador. That's how it started. Later, a couple of Hecata got involved.

L to R, in accordance with tradition:

Frankie (Toreador, Siren), played by Six. Full name Francesca Hiidenvaara. Damaged goth MILF with a past and a daughter back in Finland. Proud owner of Hubert Cumberdale, the world's most useless Famulus (he's a bearded dragon, and nobody can make him do a damn thing). Postgraduate, mature student, Embraced by her after-hours tutor (it was a rebound thing). Specialism: installations, soundscapes, weird sensory experiences and space noise. Anarch because: she's kind, that's all. Big heart and a genuine belief that too much authority makes the world a shittier place.

Callum (Toreador, Sandman), played by Shiny. Callum Havelock. Perfectly normal guy: professional ballet dancer, moonlighting as an artist's model, and possessor of an ass so fine the Rose Clan went to war over it. Recreational enthusiasms include parkour, light kleptomania, and impersonating a fan of Rangers FC (it was only the once). Acid-tongued, and a bit miffed that being dead and then being presumed dead for two years have tanked his career right when it was taking off. Anarch because: all the other options give him the pip. Being Kindred is bad enough without joining a cult about it.

Cali (Toreador, Scene King), played by Haydes. It's short for Caligula. That's not his real name. His real name's Nero Ramsay. Cali is pretentious, arrogant, and bad-tempered - but aggressively intelligent and loyal to a fault. Likes ciderpunk, tweed, and a scrap. Shares a sire with Frankie (he was the reason for the rebound). Artistic medium: large scale sculptor, urban installations, construction-scale. Anarch because: he grew up poor and resentful, and that's left him on the side of the underdogs.

Sorcha Dunsirn (Thinblood), played by Hark. Mafia princess with a knack for chemistry; suspended from school for establishing the handjobs-for-molly economy. Passed her Highers, shaved her head, and fatally overdosed in the first week of the chronicle. Born to be Kindred, to a Rosselini mother, but it wasn't meant to be like this. Her sire's either her vampire dad or her thinblood ex-boyfriend. Anarch because: she has the resources, and she wants to help. It's how she feels good about herself.

Finlay Dunsirn (Hecata, Extortionist), played by Scottie. Arrived from Stirling to manage the family's cock-ups, and their bespoke steelwares business, and totally not moving weapons around. Indeterminate gender, hands-on attitude, thinks slitting throats is a perfectly reasonable way to say hello. Ended up running a down-at-heel pub on Keppochill, and in... some sort of situationship with Cali. Anarch because: it's where the family's loyalties went, when the shit hit the fan, and Finlay's nothing if not a family... person.

The eyes up top belong to Alistair Dunsirn (Hecata, Bagger) - Coterie Mawla and, let's be honest, STPC, a bit. He wasn't supposed to be Coterie Dad - barging into their domain and their investigation with Dominate and a rabbit punch - but the PCs decided to adopt this old man and make him a Baron, and he decided he was going to get his pound of flesh out of them first. Looking after his daughter while he arranged to murder a primogen for saying something vaguely threatening in her general direction was only the start.

The background? The burned-out interior of the Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh building, following the second fire in five years. The original Toreador coterie were all students there, shared a Haven nearby, and were determined to find out who'd burned down the one thing they'd always have in common. As a Cerberus coterie, they're locked in on protecting key locations: the art college, the Tavern, and later on the City of Glasgow Bank.
